Honoring the Past. Preserving the Legacy
The Retired State Peace Officers Association is built upon generations of men and women who dedicated their careers to serving the people of Iowa through the Iowa Department of Public Safety.
Our members represent many different roles, assignments, ranks, and eras of service, but share a common bond created through years of public service. The friendships, experiences, traditions, and sacrifices made throughout those careers are an important part of the history of the Department and of RSPOA.
RSPOA is committed to preserving that history and maintaining the connections formed during our years of service. We honor those who came before us, remember those we have lost, and recognize the contributions of those who continue to serve.
As the Department and the profession evolve, RSPOA helps ensure that the experiences and traditions of previous generations are not forgotten.
Different Roles. One Common Bond.

Share Your History
Members are invited to help preserve our history by sharing photographs, stories, historical documents, badge or uniform photos, and other memories from their years of service. Submissions may be sent through our Contact page for consideration on the RSPOA website.
